IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting - IEEE PES GM 2010, Minneapolis (United States of America). 25-29 July 2010
Summary:
To meet the 2020 EU targets [1], more efficient energy uses will be necessary in the near future requiring large scale energy saving initiatives and a more widespread use of IT technologies. This situation will lead presumably to a higher volatility in electricity generation and consumption, and as a consequence, transmission and distribution networks will be operated under more stressful conditions becoming potential bottlenecks.
